Triton

Triton is a charming dog who arrived as a stray with a bit of a rough start. Our rescue partners stepped in, cleaned him up, and discovered his unique, wobbly walk is due to a birth defect: both his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. Despite this, he gets around well and walks on his feet. Due to some wear and tear, he already has arthritis and is on daily anti-inflammatories. While a wheelchair might be in his future, he's quite mobile for now and is happy with belly rubs over long walks. Triton is a mellow boy with moments of playful excitement, and he loves his dinner! He enjoys toys but has a tendency to eat them, so he needs chew bones instead of stuffed toys. Triton enjoys being with his people and would love to find a special place in your heart.

Ideal Home

A home where he can be close to his people. He needs a home that understands his need for chew bones instead of stuffed toys.

Ongoing Health

Triton has arthritis due to a birth defect in his femurs and knees. He is currently on daily anti-inflammatories. A wheelchair may be needed in the future, but he is mobile for the foreseeable future.

Training & Support

Triton enjoys playtime but should not be given stuffed toys as he tends to eat them. He enjoys chew bones.
