Hershey aka Kain

Meet Hershey aka Kain! This handsome 70lb Pit Bull Terrier Mix, born on 12/07/2022, is looking for his forever home. Hershey was adopted as a puppy but was returned to us in September 2025 through no fault of his own. He's a medium-energy boy who loves playtime and human interaction. Hershey thrives when he's with his people and loves to shower them with affection. He's also doing wonderfully with his foster siblings and enjoys playing with dogs of similar energy levels. He's even doing well with supervised play around cats and can be tested with children upon request. Hershey is house-trained and crate-trained, up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He knows commands like "sit" and is learning to manage his excitement for treats.

Ideal Home

Hershey would do best in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and companionship. He's thriving with canine siblings in his foster home, so another dog would be ideal. He doesn't like being left alone, as he can get anxious, so an owner who can spend a lot of time with him would be a great match.

Ongoing Health

Hershey is up-to-date on all his vetting, including vaccines, neuter, and microchip. He is heartworm negative and currently on preventatives.

Training & Support

Hershey is working on learning new things and is trying hard in his foster home. He knows "sit" and has learned to wait for treats instead of snatching them. He is working on managing separation anxiety, as he gets anxious when left alone.
