Winter

Meet Winter! He is a gentle, loving, and shy 6-year-old male Great Pyrenees who is dog-friendly. He came to us severely underweight and lethargic, but thanks to dedicated care, he's now a much healthier weight of around 80lbs. This amazingly gentle and beautiful soul has slowly blossomed in his foster home, showing more pep in his step each day. He is one of the most loving dogs you'll ever meet.

Ideal Home

Winter loves other dogs and fits in perfectly with the four dogs in his foster home. He does well with any new foster dogs, puppies, and visiting canine friends. He enjoys playtime and has moments of pure happiness. Winter starts out shy with new people but is quickly learning to warm up as he realizes people are kind. He gets so happy when his family comes home, doing a little dance, and will seek affection, enjoying just being in the same room. He is good with children.

Ongoing Health

Winter is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. SPIN Rescue will provide adopters with the medication to continue his treatment. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Winter has never had an accident in the house and does not require crating. His biggest fear is sudden loud noises, but he is improving. He is also a little frightened of going through doorways but will do so with encouragement.
