Jeffery

Jeffery is a 2-3 year old, neutered male Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing approximately 90-95 lbs. He's a gentle giant with people and a total sweetheart who loves cuddles and movie nights on the couch. Jeffery was found dumped at the Dallas shelter and likely lived as a junkyard dog, but he is now ready to find his forever home. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and he knows his commands – if you raise your voice during walks, he'll back up and sit by your side. He is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his shots.

Ideal Home

Jeffery would do best in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children (12 years or older). He enjoys leisurely walks and hanging out, making him a perfect companion for relaxed evenings. He is not suited for dog parks, running, or hiking. Jeffery does not get along with other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is questionable, so he must be the only dog in the home. He also cannot be tied out or kept in a yard with an electric fence.

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up-to-date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jeffery is already house-trained and crate-trained. He responds well to gentle correction during walks. He is looking for a patient owner who can provide him with a stable and loving environment.
