Meet Maxie! This scruffy sweetheart was rescued from the San Antonio euthanasia list with just hours to spare and he hasn't stopped thriving since. Maxie is a lovable Terrier mix with a big heart weighing around 45 pounds, oversized ears, and a personality that quickly wins people over. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Now safe in his foster home, he's showing just how wonderful of a companion he can be. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, making him a great fit for multi-pet households. Maxie loves his zoomies and has the cutest bunny hop when he gets excited. He also enjoys exploring the yard and soaking up the sun. Maxie would do best in a calm, low-traffic home with a woman. A fenced-in yard is an absolute must for him. He is still getting used to being around men and can be fearful of them, but he has never shown any aggression; he is simply scared and needs patience and understanding as he continues to build confidence.
