Lucy

Lucy is a 1.5-year-old sweetheart who came to us in concerning condition, weighing only 20 pounds and suffering from malnutrition. Thankfully, she received emergency surgery to remove over 30 household items from her stomach and intestines, likely ingested due to hunger. Now at a healthy 35 pounds, Lucy is embracing life as a happy and playful dog. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she's incredibly loyal, loving, and will be your devoted shadow. Lucy enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well in doggy daycare, so she would likely thrive with a canine companion or as an only pet. She had a UTI when she arrived but is now clear, and has had minimal accidents in the house since her treatment. This gem is fully spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on preventatives, with a negative fecal and heartworm test. Her adoption fee is sponsored.

Ideal Home

Lucy would love a home where she can continue to learn and grow. A playmate would be a bonus, but she can also be happy as the sole canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Lucy has fully recovered from her emergency surgery and a past UTI. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Lucy is learning to be a dog and has had minimal house-training accidents since her UTI was treated. She is eager to please and will thrive with continued positive reinforcement.
