Meet Hachi! This sweet 2-year-old boy, weighing around 50 lbs, has a heart of gold and a story of resilience. For most of his life, Hachi knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel, rescued from a hoarding situation. Despite his past, Hachi's spirit remained soft, and he's now a total love bug ready to cherish the simple joys of a loving home. He greets life with a wagging tail and a genuine love for people, being wonderful with kids and eager to make friends with everyone he meets. Hachi truly treasures the things many dogs take for granted, like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with his family. He's crate trained, potty trained, and ready to settle down. While he prefers slow introductions to other dogs and does best with confident canine companions, he's ready to find his forever family.

Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He's a medium-energy dog who enjoys adventures but is equally happy to relax at home with you.

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed; his ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.
