Lilly

Sweet Lily has a truly touching story. Recently, this lovely lady was found by police in her home with her deceased owner and unfortunately ended up at the county shelter. There wasn't any family to take her, and she was so stressed that we rushed to get her. We'll never know how long she stayed by her owner's side before help arrived, but her gentle, loving nature still shines through, even though her whole world changed overnight.

Lily is the sweetest 12-year-old Labrador you will ever meet. She's great with other dogs, cats, and every person she meets. As with any senior dog, she does have typical old-dog quirks and is a big girl at about 78lbs.

Ideal Home

We are looking for someone with a big heart for a senior girl who wants to adopt her, or a new foster home. Lily deserves comfort, dignity, and happiness in her golden years.

Ongoing Health

Lily is currently being treated for urine incontinence with medication (Proin), and we are hoping it works. She goes to the bathroom outside but tends to leak urine on her back legs, so she wears a diaper most of the time. She needs to be kept clean and dry. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and has had senior bloodwork done.

Training & Support

Other than her incontinence, Lily is an easy guest. Her current foster family works full-time outside the home and isn't able to manage her needs as well as someone who is home all day.
