Smokey

Hi there! I'm Smokey, a handsome, medium-sized, long-haired black Chow mix with a heart of gold. I was transferred from another rescue who saved me from a shelter, and I'm so happy to have this second chance to find my forever family. I'm already neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home with experienced dog owners who are knowledgeable about Chow Chows. Because of my breed and my needs, I must be the only dog in the household. I would also do best in a home without small children. Older children who understand how to be respectful of a dog's space might be okay. It's unknown how I would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

I am a healthy boy and have been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

My training is quite impressive! I know how to sit and stay, and I wait patiently for commands. I don't rush out of the gate, which is a great plus. However, I do tend to pull a bit on the leash, so I'll need some continued guidance to perfect my leash manners.
