Elektra, lovingly known as Ellie, is an approximately 3-year-old, 40-pound sweetheart whose resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Ellie's story began in heartbreak. She was found abandoned in a dumpster with her legs and little snoot bound together with duct tape. Despite the unimaginable cruelty she endured, Ellie has never let her past define her. Today, she's a joyful, affectionate girl who is ready to leave her difficult beginning behind and find the loving family she's always deserved. Ellie is an active, playful pup who would thrive with someone who enjoys walks, hikes, adventures, and making her part of everyday life. She's smart, eager to please, already knows how to sit, and does wonderfully with other friendly dogs. She also has an adorably goofy side—and one of her favorite treats is broccoli! She can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men. Ellie tends to warm up to women more quickly, but once she feels safe, she absolutely adores the men she trusts and forms incredibly loyal, affectionate bonds with them. After everything she's overcome, Ellie deserves a family that will show her what unconditional love truly feels like.
