Bubba Bear is a sight for sore eyes! Imagine the cutest black bear cub you've ever seen, but make him a dog with a sweet, toothless smile and the most innocent eyes. That's Bubba Bear to a T. This approximately 3-year-old, 60 lb bundle of gentle affection is believed to be a Black Lab/Pittie mix. He's incredibly easygoing and brings a sense of peace wherever he goes. Bubba is a quiet companion, happy to follow you from room to room and settle nearby, making your home feel more relaxed. He's a bit of a slow burn when meeting new people or exploring new places, preferring to observe and take things at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side truly shines, and he'll politely ask for pets with a gentle head nuzzle or a paw.
Ideal Home
Bubba would thrive in a calm home environment that matches his mellow personality. He's more of a homebody and would likely be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard, where he can enjoy a predictable routine. Apartment living or a busy city might not be his ideal match. He's looking for a home with another calm, mellow dog who shares his laid-back outlook, rather than an energetic playmate. He has done well with cats in the past, and we're happy to do further introductions.
Ongoing Health
Bubba is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He receives monthly heartworm preventative and flea and tick prevention.
Training & Support
Bubba is crate trained, though he prefers not to be crated alone and settles best when he can see his family or canine friends. He's doing wonderfully with potty training and has a good handle on using a doggy door for emergencies. He enjoys treats and takes them very gently, making for some adorable moments as he figures out how to manage them with his limited teeth.

Wags offers nationwide transport to select locations across the US and Canada, with drop-off points in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transport options include pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters. A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs.
