Red is a gorgeous young pup, about 2 years old and weighing around 65 lbs, who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Southern California. He is incredibly smart, learns quickly, and loves to please. Red is affectionate and forms strong bonds with his people, especially once he feels safe and secure. When meeting new people, Red can be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience, he truly shines. Once he warms up, he becomes a loyal, loving companion who enjoys being close to his human. Red loves to play, especially chasing his ball, and would thrive in an active home with space to run and exercise. He has had some training, knows his commands well, and is both crate and house trained. He does best when he has a "job" to do. Red is dog-friendly and non-reactive to cats, making him a great fit for many households. His foster is committed to helping make his transition as smooth as possible and will gladly work with his adopter.

Red would thrive in an active home with space to run and exercise. He would be best in a home with adults as he is a strong, exuberant boy.
