Meet Sage!
Sage is a spirited five-year-old German Shepherd, Siberian Husky, and American Pitbull Terrier mix whose essence is a glowing blend of intelligence, affection, and playful charm wrapped in a tan coat with white accents and striking dark facial markings. She’s a loyal, medium-sized companion at 44 pounds who thrives on connection, cuddles, and adventure! Sage is a great communicator—whether she’s ready for a walk, asking for a tummy rub, or signaling it’s mealtime, she knows how to make herself understood with heart-melting charm. She’s incredibly smart and has already mastered sit, down, and up, eager to show off her skills to win a smile (or a treat!). Her days are happiest when they include plenty of sniff-filled strolls, playful bone-hiding missions, and time curled up close to her people.
Ideal Home
Sage would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and plenty of time to share with her people. She is not a fan of cats and would do best in a feline-free environment.
Ongoing Health
Sage experiences mild separation anxiety and much prefers a cozy bed to a crate.
Training & Support
Sage is house-trained and non-destructive, and generally calm when left alone. She absolutely lights up around young children and has a gentle, affectionate nature that makes her a fantastic playmate! When it comes to other dogs, Sage is selective. While she enjoys doggy day care and has made some canine friends, she tends to mirror the energy of other dogs and has had a few scuffles, mostly while on a leash. Her reactive moments appear tied to certain high-energy or intense dog encounters, particularly when she's feeling restrained. Because of this, Sage would thrive with a calm, dog-savvy guardian who can manage these interactions thoughtfully—or in a home where she can be the only pup and enjoy the spotlight all to herself. We’re also including a month of professional behavioral support to help Sage settle into her next chapter with ease and reassurance.

Transporation
Sage is currently in Vallejo, CA. She will remain with her current family until a suitable new home is found for her.
