Walter - Pending

Walter is a charming 6-year-old, 18 lb Boston Mix with a heart full of love to give! He found himself at the shelter due to a hoarding situation, but his sweet, silly, and confident personality shines through. Walter is a master of cuddles and absolutely adores belly rubs – he'll often stretch out on his back, inviting you for some quality tummy time. He's also a pro on leash, knows basic commands, and learns quickly. While he's a bit clumsy, it only adds to his cuteness! He's also crate-trained and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, though he prefers not to spend too much time in it.

Ideal Home

Walter would thrive in an active home where he can go on walks and explore, but he's just as happy in a less active environment, enjoying couch snuggles and yard time. He would love a canine companion to play with and humans who enjoy giving belly rubs and simply spending time with him. He is a social boy who needs people around. Walter is not apartment qualified.

Ongoing Health

Walter has no known special needs or health issues. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

Training & Support

Walter is mostly housetrained but has marked a few times. He is leash-trained and rides well in the car (he needs a seatbelt or he'll be in your lap!). He is good with other dogs, cats, young children, and strangers. He barks when excited, playing, or alerting.

Walter is being fostered in Wichita, KS. We only adopt to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR.
