Zippy

Zippy is a delightful 8-month-old Terrier Mix, weighing in at 16lbs and expected to reach around 23lbs fully grown. She's already spayed and microchipped, and up-to-date on her DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Zippy is a bundle of joy, equally happy on an adventure as she is snuggled up for a nap. Her foster parent describes her as one of the most well-rounded pups they've ever cared for! She’s also a serious cuddle bug, often wanting to be right in your lap.

Ideal Home

Zippy thrives with a significant amount of structure, exercise, and mental stimulation, needing at least 90 minutes of movement in the morning, plus additional walks and brain games throughout the day. An adopter with prior experience caring for a similar breed, temperament, or energy level is essential. Zippy is still learning canine social cues and can be a bit mouthy, so a home with children aged 8 and up is recommended, and adult supervision is always a must. Due to her prey drive with squirrels and birds, a home without cats or other small pets would be best.

Ongoing Health

Zippy is currently healthy. She has received her DHPP and Bordetella vaccines and has been spayed and treated with dewormer.

Training & Support

Zippy is a super food-motivated learner, making training a rewarding experience! She's working on potty training and is having minimal accidents indoors. While she respects hands and feet, she does have a tendency to chew on things she shouldn't, like shoes and furniture, so continued guidance is encouraged. She's generally good on a leash and responds well to corrections. She also listens when she gets excited and jumps, stopping with correction.
