Hey there! I'm Indigo, a stunning 5-year-old black beauty with a heart brimming with love to give! I'm a medium-sized mixed girl who's as affectionate, energetic, and smart as they come. I absolutely adore water, so you'll often find me splashing around or enjoying a good belly rub. I've had the chance to meet other dogs here at the shelter, and I think I could be a wonderful addition to a household that already has canine companions. Indigo is noted as "blue" due to leash biting, which is likely due to frustration and overstimulation in the shelter environment. She's been observed to be easily redirected with high-value treats like peanut butter.

Training & Support

Indigo has shown a tendency to bite or chew on leashes, especially when she's been in her kennel for a while and has pent-up energy. Using high-value treats and peanut butter can help distract her and make leashing a smoother process. She's also been observed to grab leashes to chew on them, but redirecting with treats has been effective. It's recommended to use a general behavior waiver.
