Emmy is a calm and intelligent Labrador mix who makes wonderful, steady companionship. She has a gentle personality and enjoys being by your side, whether at home or on the road. She does well with other dogs and children. Emmy is sociable, though she can be a little nervous, especially around people she does not know at first. With patience and gentle introductions, she relaxes and shows her sweet, trusting nature. Emmy enjoys car rides and travels calmly, taking in the journey at her own peaceful pace. She is very tranquil, thoughtful, and attentive, making her a lovely companion for a family or individual looking for a loyal friend. Emmy was rescued along with her four siblings after being born underneath a house in ruins during freezing weather. They were in serious danger, but thanks to rescue and care, Emmy survived and grew into the beautiful dog she is today.
Ideal Home
Emmy would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. She would do best with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has experience with dog behavior and training. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and be prepared to offer protection and education. High tolerance and patience are a must for this rescued pup.
Ongoing Health
Emmy has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Emmy is not house-trained, and this is something her new family will need to work on. The rescue organization dedicates significant resources to the health and emotional rehabilitation of their animals and cannot house-train every pet. Patience and consistent guidance will be key to her success.
