Alba

Alba is a lovely, intelligent, obedient, and playful female Labrador Creole mix. She's about a year old and weighs around 30 lbs. Alba was rescued in March 2024 after being found in a field with her siblings. Despite being a little shy at first with new people, she quickly melts into your arms once she receives some affection. She's energetic, sociable with humans, children, and other dogs, and enjoys playtime, walks, and running. Alba is also very affectionate, docile, joyful, and loyal. She is crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

We are looking for homeowners with a fenced backyard and active families who enjoy outdoor activities. Ideally, you'll have an open conscience about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals and understand their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is a plus, as is a high tolerance and patience for rescued pups. Please note that Alba is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX diseases. She receives monthly preventive treatment with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are included.

Training & Support

Alba is crate and leash trained. However, she is not house-trained. As a rescue, she will require patience and ongoing training to help her adjust and learn.

• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged with you, Alba, and her foster.
• A trial adoption period will follow if all parties agree it's a good fit, with clear instructions for integration.

Transportation

Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
