Yardstick

Yardstick is a 60lb, approximately 5-6 year old, tripod Shepherd mix with a spirit as grand as his story. He spent years as a stray, scared and on the run, until a tragic accident left him injured. After being darted and brought to safety three years ago, Yardstick has undergone incredible healing, both physically and emotionally. He's blossomed into a sassy king who loves lounging in his crate, communicates his needs (loudly!), and navigates life on three legs like a pro. He's even mastered vet visits for nail trims! Yardstick gets along with other calm dogs who respect his space, as he likely experienced bullying on the streets.

Ideal Home

Yardstick needs a home with a secure, fenced yard and a patient, understanding adopter who can help him slowly overcome his fear of leashes. Until then, he should only go outside off-leash in enclosed areas or his crate.

Ongoing Health

Yardstick takes daily joint supplements to keep his remaining legs healthy.

Training & Support

Yardstick is still working on his leash reactivity and needs a patient adopter to help him build confidence.
