Daisy Sue is a 2-year-old, 35-pound spayed female Pointer and Australian Cattle Dog mix. She's a bundle of joy with adorable zoomies, affectionate cuddles, and a playful spirit. Daisy was rescued from a euthanasia list and is now ready for her second chance at a happy life. She's a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying romping and playing with pups of all sizes. Daisy is also an energetic girl who would thrive in an active home, loving daily walks, playtime, or a securely fenced yard. Despite her energy, she settles nicely and makes a fantastic work-from-home companion, happy to snooze nearby while you work. She's house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, is crate-trained, and doesn't have issues with resource guarding. Daisy is food-motivated, making training a breeze. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men, and may bark or keep her distance initially. However, with patience and gentle encouragement, she warms up and reveals her sweet, cuddly nature, loving to snuggle on the couch. Because she's sensitive, a calm home with a predictable routine is ideal for her.
Ideal Home
Daisy would thrive in a home that includes another friendly dog for companionship, an active lifestyle with regular exercise or a yard, and children 10 years or older who understand how to respect a shy dog. She can be left loose in the house when alone and is not destructive, though she does find shoes fascinating!
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned.
Training & Support
Daisy is already house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. She is good with sharing toys and treats. She may need a little extra time to warm up to new people, especially men, and will benefit from a patient and gentle approach.
