About Whitney Joy the Bunny Soft Sweetheart

Whitney Joy is one of those bunnies that feels impossible not to love the second you meet her! Between her giant happy smile, soft soulful eyes, and ridiculously velvety fur, she has a personality that instantly pulls people in. And we HAVE to talk about the little ridge of fur running down the middle of her back because it is honestly one of the coolest, cutest things ever and somehow makes her even more unique! Whitney Joy has that happy, friendly Lab-like personality people adore, but there's also something really gentle and sweet about her that makes her stand out in her own way. She's playful, affectionate, goofy, and full of that easy, feel-good energy that makes everyday life more fun just by having her around.

Whitney is believed to be a Lab mix, approximately 1 year old, and currently weighs 52 lbs. There may even be a possibility that she may even be part Rhodesian Ridgeback! Regardless of her DNA, she's the perfect mix of everything right.

Whitney is dog-friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced her to. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments and sizes. Once Whitney knows a dog and feels comfortable, she jumps right into the fun and seems to have the BEST time romping around, playing chase, sharing toys, and hanging out with her pals. In a home, we believe Whitney would do best in a home with another dog that enjoys companionship, playful adventures, and fun little games of chase. If you don't have another dog, though, that's completely okay too. Whitney does not rely on another dog to feel comfortable or confident and would be just as happy soaking up all the love and attention as your one-and-only girl.

Whitney also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request.

Ideal Home

Whitney's ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. Whitney gives the impression that she is a social butterfly type, so if you're someone who likes to host or have friends over for backyard BBQs, Whitney will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment.

Ongoing Health

Whitney Joy's adoption fee includes all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Whitney loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and the down command, and will do it almost instantaneously when you ask. She walks generally well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. Whitney will pull every now and then on a leash out of excitement, but with structured leash walks and consistency, this little lady will be walking like a princess more consistently. Whitney has done really well with a 5-year-old child she met. Similar to how she approaches meeting new dogs in unfamiliar environments, she was just a tiny bit shy and observant at first while she figured everything out. Once Whitney settles in, her sweet, affectionate personality shines so naturally. Based off what we observed during that interaction, she showed a lot of qualities that could make her a really wonderful family dog.
