Lucrecia is a beautiful and intelligent 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who weighs approximately 33 lbs and is 22 inches tall. She was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and was understandably distrustful at first, especially while in heat. Our team worked diligently to gain her trust and provide her with the care she needed. Lucrecia also had an injured front paw that was treated successfully by a vet, likely from a puncture wound that became inflamed and infected. Now that she is safe and no longer has to worry about finding food and shelter, she has blossomed into an affectionate, playful, and very active dog who loves interacting with her foster siblings.
Ideal Home
We are looking for homeowners with a securely fenced backyard. Families who enjoy outdoor activities and have experience with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed would be a great fit. An open mind and understanding towards the needs of rescued street animals, along with a commitment to their protection and education, are essential. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high degree of tolerance and patience for rescued dogs.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has also been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm and the 4DX. She is on monthly preventive medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. Her previous paw injury has been treated, and she has fully recovered.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not currently house-trained. Our rescue efforts focus on rehabilitating the health and emotional well-being of our animals, which often means we are unable to dedicate the time needed for individual house-training. We are confident that with patience and consistency, she will learn quickly.
