Meet Bishop! This handsome almost 1-year-old Lab, hound, and Mountain Cur mix is about 50 pounds of pure sweetness and charm. Bishop has a gentle, soft-natured personality and is friendly with dogs, cats, and people alike. He's still very much a puppy, eager to learn, explore, and soak up all the joys of life. His curiosity about the world is balanced with a medium energy level that's perfect for adventures and cozy downtime. Bishop truly appreciates a lazy day, happily binge-watching Netflix and snuggling up with his favorite humans. He views life with a fun-loving approach, considering everyone a friend. While he can be a little timid at first, his boundless curiosity and love for all always win out. Bishop is an intelligent and affectionate pup, loyal to everyone he meets, and loves nothing more than to cuddle and offer comfort after a long day. Whether it's exploring the outdoors, playing fetch, or nesting on the sofa, Bishop wants to be by your side. He's an ideal companion for anyone looking for a furry friend who is playful, cuddly, sweet, and happy.
Ideal Home
Bishop would thrive in an active and nurturing home that provides leadership, routine, and continued socialization. He would do best with another active, playful, mature dog to learn from and enjoy. A fenced yard is preferred for his safety and enjoyment.
Ongoing Health
Bishop is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and Lyme disease, and is microchipped. He receives monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Training & Support
Bishop is house and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He is very food and praise-motivated, which will make continued training easy and fun. He is learning proper dog behavior etiquette and how to read body language. Continued positive reinforcement and consistent training will help his beautiful personality continue to flourish.
