Dexter is a sweet, high-energy 2-year-old neutered male Catahoula Hound mix. He's been with our rescue since he was a puppy and is looking for a home where he can truly thrive. Dexter would do best as the only dog in a household with acreage for him to run and explore. He's very protective of his people and needs an owner who can appreciate his spirited nature. He was previously adopted, but returned because his energy levels were too much for a home with small grandchildren and no adequate space for him to expend that energy.
Ideal Home
Dexter needs a home with plenty of space for him to run and play, ideally with acreage. He would be best suited as the only dog in the household.

Dexter is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is neutered.
Training & Support
Dexter is a high-energy dog and will need an owner who can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He is protective of his people and will need continued socialization and training to ensure he is comfortable around new people and in new situations.

- A transport fee of $75 is due to secure transport.
- The remaining $100 adoption fee is due upon pickup.

Dexter is currently located in Texarkana, Texas. Transport is available once a month to the following locations: Arnold, Missouri; Springfield, Illinois; Bloomington, Illinois; Rockford, Illinois; Lafayette, Indiana; and Madison, Wisconsin.
