D.J.

Meet D.J.! This sweet and sensitive boy was found at just six weeks old with his seven siblings, hiding under brush near the Colibri neighborhood in Bucerias. Scared, tiny, and without their mom, they were all nervous at first, but with time, they blossomed into playful, loving pups. D.J. is still the most timid of the group, but he is gentle and longs to trust. The shelter environment keeps him a little unsure, but with patience, kindness, and a calm home, he will absolutely blossom. He does wonderfully with other dogs and would benefit from having a confident dog friend to follow and learn from. D.J. is a medium-sized adult, estimated at 45 lbs, and he deserves a family who sees past his nerves and gives him the chance to shine. He has been waiting for someone gentle enough to help him feel safe.

Ideal Home

D.J. would do best in a quieter home without young children. He is great with other dogs and learns from them, so a confident canine companion would be a wonderful addition to his new family.

Transporation

D.J. is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions during the summer months, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
