Mitch

Mitch is a distinguished gentleman who is 10-12 years old and weighs around 71 pounds. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, and we're eager to find him a loving retirement home.

Mitch would likely do best in a home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years.

Ongoing Health

Mitch has been wormed for roundworms and hookworms and received vaccinations for distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus (5-way) on 7/9/2026. He was also vaccinated for rabies and treated for fleas and ticks on the same date. Mitch has not been altered. A microchip was not found. Please note that we do not guarantee a dog's health and recommend a vet visit soon after adoption.

Training & Support

As Mitch is a senior dog, he may have some established habits. We recommend patience and understanding as he adjusts to his new environment.

• The adoption fee is $50.00 cash. This fee includes a Rabies vaccination, 5 in 1 vaccination, worming for roundworms and hookworms, Capstar, flea and tick treatment and a current Ohio dog license.

Transporation

Mitch is located at the Pike County Dog Pound at 2575 Alma Omega Road, Waverly, Ohio. Adopters can visit Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, or by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays. Please call ahead to confirm availability. We can discuss transportation options upon inquiry.
