Marshall

Marshall is a sweet boy who, despite a bit of initial shyness, warms up quickly with a little patience and gentle reassurance. He's discovered that a good walk and some calm pets are the perfect recipe for feeling more comfortable. Marshall is incredibly accepting once he feels safe, melting into your touch and allowing full body handling with ease – he's even great for vet visits! He knows how to "sit" and is gentle with treats. While he's shown a slight interest in squeaky toys, he generally prefers to curl up nearby rather than explore much. Marshall is good with children aged 5, 7, and 11, and he walks very well on a leash with little to no pulling.

Ideal Home

Marshall would do best in a home with a patient adopter who understands his need for space and time to build confidence. He benefits from slow introductions and his boundaries being respected. If you have another dog, Marshall would thrive with a calm, socially appropriate companion who can read and respect his body language without overwhelming him.

Ongoing Health

Marshall is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and he is treated monthly for fleas/ticks and is on heartworm prevention. He will be spayed/neutered prior to final adoption.

Training & Support

Marshall needs a little work with potty training. He also appears to be significantly under-socialized with both dogs and people and can be fearful. Giving him time and space to gain confidence is key.
