Hi friends! My name is Nena, and I'm a beautiful 7-year-old Border Collie/Sheltie mix weighing in at 49lbs. My past has been a little ruff, as I lived with an unhoused person for a couple of years and experienced neglect, malnourishment, and mistreatment. Thankfully, I was rescued and have been working with trainers to overcome resource guarding and a prey drive that likely developed from my tough start. While I'm not a fan of most other dogs, I am a quiet, chill pup who loves to laze in the sunshine, cuddle, and get belly rubs. I bond deeply with my people and would truly thrive as the only pup in a home where I can shower you with affection!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home where I can be the sole focus of your affection. I'm not a fan of other dogs and would prefer a home without them. Given my prey drive, a home without cats would also be best.

Ongoing Health

I'm spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will be tested for heartworm before flying to Canada. Please be aware that dental work is common for rescue dogs, and any associated costs are the adopter's responsibility.

Training & Support

I'm working on leash skills, house training, crate training, and car rides. A bit of extra patience and dedicated training in these areas will help me succeed. My adopter should be prepared to work with me on my prey drive should it arise.
