Ike is a goofy, lovable Labrador Retriever mix whose favorite thing in the world is being with people. He has never met a stranger and believes everyone is a potential best friend! This happy-go-lucky guy is full of classic Lab enthusiasm and would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Ike is still learning that personal space exists and may occasionally forget just how big he is, but his affectionate nature and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for continued training. Ike's promise: "I might not fit in your lap, but I'm going to try anyway and I'll make you smile every day." If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Ike is ready to meet you!
Ideal Home
Ike would love a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. He is still learning about personal space and may forget his size, so a home that can accommodate his enthusiastic nature would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is included in the adoption fee for Ike, which includes DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping.
Training & Support
Ike is eager to please and would benefit from continued training to help him understand personal space and other commands. The organization provides socialization through playgroups and one-on-one bonding, and works on skills such as leash training and basic commands. They emphasize that Ike is a rescue dog and will require continued training efforts and understanding.

Transporation
Ike is available for transportation in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN & OH to predetermined locations and times. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request and are the financial responsibility of the adopting family. Pick-up is also available at their Angleton, TX location.
