Sweet Pea seems to have skipped the awkward "new kid" phase entirely. While some puppies need time to settle in, figure out the routine, and make friends, Sweet Pea arrived in her foster home, took one look at the new people and six resident dogs, and essentially said, "Perfect, I live here now." Since then, she's been proving just how easy it is to live with and love her. Estimated to be around 9 months old and looking very much like a Texas Special (aka blend of rescue breed cuteness), she weighs 27 adorable pounds currently. She is a wonderfully social, affectionate, easygoing young dog with a gentle nature and a talent for fitting seamlessly into family life.
Ideal Home
Sweet Pea is a wonderfully social and affectionate dog who gets along with everyone. She currently lives with six other dogs and has been a perfect addition to the pack, enjoying playtime and having dog friends to follow around. She handled new introductions beautifully, even with dogs who were rude or pushy. She has also spent time around a two-year-old child and did wonderfully. While she has a playful curiosity towards cats, we recommend a home with a dog-savvy cat and ideally another confident dog who can help model appropriate behavior.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns are mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Sweet Pea is described as playful without being overwhelming in the house and has a calm, balanced energy. She walks nicely on leash and responds well to guidance. While she may occasionally get excited and forget where all four feet belong, her overall demeanor is gentle and friendly.
