Rover

Meet Rover, your next adventure buddy! This handsome 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur is an athletic and gentle soul, eager to be your loyal sidekick. Rover naturally bonds with women and may be a little cautious around men initially. He'll need a patient adopter to let him settle in at his own pace. Once he trusts you, his true personality shines, and he becomes a faithful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether on a hike, relaxing at home, or taking a drive.

Rover loves playing fetch, running, exploring, and splashing in water. He's a great car rider, walks nicely on a leash, and is always up for new adventures. He enjoys the company of other dogs who understand good manners and give him personal space, quickly becoming their favorite playmate. He has also lived peacefully with cats and chickens.

Ideal Home

Rover is potty trained, kennel trained, and well-mannered. He could do well in an apartment with someone who is home often and committed to providing daily exercise and enrichment. A secure yard is important, as he can climb a 6-foot wooden privacy fence, so supervised outdoor time or a very secure yard is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Rover is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.

Rover is well-mannered in the home. Consistent positive reinforcement will help him continue to thrive.
