Bonzo is a 2.5-month-old German Shepherd mix with a classic black and tan coat. He may be a little more reserved than his sister at first, but give him a little time and patience, and you'll watch him gently come out of his shell! Once he feels safe, his true personality shines. He is soft, affectionate, and incredibly loving. He enjoys playing with his siblings and does well following their established routine, showing how adaptable and eager to learn he is. He has a natural herd mentality and loves to follow his siblings wherever they go. He's currently living in a home with his siblings and a large German Shepherd, and he does well in that environment, continuing to build confidence by watching and learning from the other dogs around him. He has been settling into a consistent schedule that includes regular feeding times, structured play, kennel time, and sleeping through the night, typically waking around 5:30 am for a potty break. Bonzo's cuddle side is what really makes him special. Once he trusts you, he becomes a total snuggle bug, happily leaning into affection and soaking up every bit of love. He may not be the first to run up, but he's the one who will stay close once you've earned his trust. Like all puppies, he will need patience, consistency, and a gentle approach as he continues to grow. But for someone willing to give him that time, he'll return it with quiet loyalty, sweetness, and a deep connection! Bonzo is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Bonzo is learning a consistent schedule including feeding times, structured play, kennel time, and sleeping through the night. He will benefit from continued patience, consistency, and a gentle approach as he grows.

Transporation
Bonzo is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
