Augustus is a 7-year-old Standard Poodle with a remarkably gentle spirit. After surviving severe neglect and a serious medical ordeal, he is now enjoying life in a loving foster home and continues to grow stronger.

Ideal Home

Augustus loves being near his people without being overly needy. He is good with dogs, ignores cats, and is good with children. He deserves a patient, loving forever home where he can feel safe and wanted.

Ongoing Health

Augustus arrived severely matted and emaciated, with a grapefruit-sized testicular tumor and neurological symptoms that temporarily left him unable to stand. The tumor was surgically removed and was benign. His gait continues to improve, and he can now run up and down stairs.

Training & Support

Augustus is crate trained, although he prefers sleeping upstairs near his humans on his own dog bed. He is still learning his potty routine.
