Jersey

Meet joyful Jersey, a 5- to 6-year-old Staffy girl that a Good Samaritan rescued from the streets of Houston, TX in April 2024. She's a tail-wagging wiggle butt who loves pets, cuddles, and being the center of attention. A people-pleaser at heart, Jersey is eager to make her humans happy and responds well to simple commands and redirection. She’s also a big fan of treats and will happily sit for one!

Jersey is living her best indoor city life and is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. While she appreciates her crate for a little downtime, she truly loves to free roam and find a comfy spot on the couch for a good chill session.

Ideal Home

Jersey seems like she would be quite content as an only dog. She does get along nicely with both smaller and similarly sized to slightly larger dogs that she has met with proper introductions. She has not been cat-tested but has seemed curious, not aggressive, when she encountered neighborhood cats.

Ongoing Health

Jersey is spayed, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on DHPP, bordetella, and rabies vaccines. She is heartworm negative and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

Jersey is house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. She is a big fan of her antlers and bones and takes her chewing hobby seriously. In shared spaces, it would be best for her to only be with another dog who either doesn’t care or is willing to share these items, or for her to be temporarily crated so she can enjoy her bounty without interruptions.
