Rescue from Texas.

Big Red is about 6 years old and weighs approximately 65 lbs.

This boy has lived through heartbreak. He likely spent most of his life confined in a crate far too small for him — so small, in fact, that he could barely stand. Because of that, he used to be uncomfortable when touched on his back legs. But with time, love, and patience, Big Red has healed — and now allows touch without fear.

Big Red loves people, but he needs time to build trust. He dreams of a big backyard where he can finally run free, play, and enjoy the life he was denied for so long. He would make a loyal companion for someone who lives a quiet life — someone patient, kind, and understanding of his past.

Due to the trauma he has endured, Big Red is not a match for a home with small children. His perfect home would be with a single person or a calm family with a secure yard and lots of love to give.

After everything he’s been through, Big Red still believes in love. He’s waiting for that one special human to give him the life he’s always deserved.
