Charlie is a handsome boy who's just over 1 year old and weighs in at 12 pounds. He's a bubbly fellow with a smile on his face all the time! Charlie is a big lover and snuggler, he'll either sleep with you or next to your bed in a comfy dog bed. He really enjoys being around his foster family, especially when belly rubs are involved! Charlie likes bathing in the sun and taking naps in silly positions! Outdoors, he enjoys running in the fenced yard, chasing balls, or just lounging around. Charlie has been house-trained at his foster home and is crated when no one is home and during meal times. He gets along well with other dogs, but another dog in the home isn't required, as he's perfectly happy with his person.
Ideal Home
A physical fenced yard that is 4 feet or higher is a must, as Charlie has been known to jump over lower fences. A home with one or two adults who are home most of the time would be ideal. Charlie is afraid of children and will hide if they are in the home or visiting regularly, so a home without kids is preferred. He's looking for someone who wants a young, active dog who loves to run and play, but is also super snuggly and knows when it's time to calm down. Previous dog experience is a plus.
Ongoing Health
Charlie is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered. He has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Charlie needs to continue working on basic commands, but he's a quick learner, especially when motivated by dehydrated liver treats! He takes treats very gently. Charlie is a bolter and will rush through doors, so he needs to learn the "WAIT" command to ensure his safety.
