Alfie

Alfie is a squat, little wrecking ball of love and energy! He originally came to us from a rescue partner and was even fostered by one of our staff members. While he found a wonderful home, his adopter's health declined, and now Alfie is back with us, ready to find his forever family again. He's a consistent pup, just as described by his previous adopter: full of energy and playfulness, but also a devoted snuggle bug who loves to sit on your lap during TV time. He enjoys leisurely sniffing walks, checking in with his people for treats, and is perfectly content in his "basement den" with a blanket and toys when home alone. Alfie is a pro at car rides, enjoying the sights and sounds from the window. He's smart, trained, and incredibly lovable!

Alfie greets everyone with enthusiasm and truly believes every day is a day for play. He loves wrestling, chasing, and full-on backyard WWE matches with his canine companions. He would absolutely thrive in a home with another playful dog who can keep up with his goofy, high-energy antics. If your current dog needs a workout buddy or your home is missing a hilarious, snuggly goofball, Alfie is your guy!

Ongoing Health

Alfie was previously treated for heartworm disease and completed his treatment in December 2025. He will need a heartworm retest in September 2026, to be performed by the adopter's veterinarian. Heartworm is a mosquito-borne disease and is not contagious to other pets.

Training & Support

Alfie is housebroken and has received prior training. He is entitled to a $250 training scholarship for a positive reinforcement trainer. Reimbursement is provided upon submission of invoices or receipts.
