SAFFRON

Saffron is a sweet, smart, and affectionate young female Australian Kelpie mix who is ready to find her forever home! She loves to cuddle and give kisses, and she's already a pro at "sit," "lay down," "stay," and "paw." Saffron is also very potty trained and has excellent recall, making her a joy to have around. She's a food-motivated pup who takes treats gently, and she's been curious and calm around reptiles. Saffron also does well with other dogs, showing submission and quickly settling into new environments.

Ideal Home

Saffron would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of love and attention. While she's making great progress with cats and is generally good with other animals, she can get a bit too excited initially, so slow introductions are always advised.

Ongoing Health

Saffron is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Saffron is working on her cat reactivity and is still learning to manage her excitement around them. She also experiences some separation anxiety when left alone, which can manifest as whining or barking. Providing her with engaging toys like frozen Kongs and bones, as well as allowing another dog to stay with her, has significantly helped her cope. Consistent routine and patience will be key to helping her feel secure when you're away.
