Tabasco says hello like a true gentleman and is eager to offer his paw for a shake! He's a smart boy, especially for being so young, and already knows commands like "both paws." He truly wants to please his person. Unfortunately, Tabasco's poor ears were recently injured and are still healing. He's also a bit leery of squeaky toys, suggesting he may not have had many opportunities to enjoy playtime. But with the right person, Tabasco can absolutely discover the joys of a toy bin and experience a wonderful life!

Tabasco would thrive in a home where he can build confidence and learn to trust.

Tabasco's ears are currently healing from an injury. He will need continued care and monitoring as they recover.

Training & Support

Tabasco is still learning and can be a bit timid around loud toy noises like squeakers. With patience and positive reinforcement, he can learn to enjoy toys and overcome his timidity.

Application Details:

• Applications to adopt Tabasco start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members should be present for any meetings with dogs.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s). Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s) is required. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after allowing time for the shelter dog to decompress.

Transportation

Tabasco is currently located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. Walk-in visitors are welcome daily between 12 pm and 7 pm. If you plan to adopt on the day of your visit, please arrive before 5:30 pm.
