Vern (20260423-01)

Vern is a 3.5-month-old beagle mix male, weighing in at 16 pounds. He's a brown and white bundle of energy and love, ready to bring smiles and wagging tails to his forever home. Vern was surrendered to us when his previous owner couldn't provide the veterinary care he needed after what appeared to be a seizure. After thorough testing, he's now symptom-free, and we believe it may have been a temporary issue like toxin exposure. He's a playful pup who loves being held, gives the sweetest puppy kisses, and thrives on attention. Vern is house-trained, crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and rides happily in the car. He only barks when playing with other dogs and is not food aggressive. He enjoys exploring but doesn't tend to run away.

Ideal Home

Vern would thrive in an active, dog-savvy home that can provide structure, exercise, and continued guidance. He enjoys being outside and would ideally have a yard to explore. While he doesn't require a canine sibling, he would absolutely love a playful companion to share his adventures with. He could potentially adapt to apartment living with the right family.

Ongoing Health

Vern had a health scare that appeared to be a seizure, but after extensive testing, he is now symptom-free and his blood work is perfect.

Training & Support

Vern is a puppy and enjoys chewing, so he is crated when left alone. He is already house-trained and crate-trained. He walks well on a leash and shows no leash reactivity.

Transportation

Vern is currently located in North Carolina and adopters must be able to pick him up in Niagara Falls, NY. He will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter is found.
