Charlie

Charlie is a charming male Cattle Dog mix who's ready to find his forever home! He's an adult dog who's already neutered and vaccinated, and he's about medium-sized with a short coat in shades of brown and white. Charlie's previous family had to relocate and couldn't bring him along, so he's now looking for a fresh start. He's lived on 5 acres most of his life and has experience both indoors and outdoors without issue. Charlie can be a little reserved at first and needs time to build trust, especially since he seems to have had a past negative experience with leashes. With patience and understanding, he's sure to blossom into the sweet and loyal companion we know he can be. He gets along well with other dogs and generally ignores cats.

Ideal Home

Charlie would thrive in a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years. He would do best in a household with older children, as he prefers not to have people in his face. Given his athletic build, a more sedentary lifestyle would be ideal for him.

Ongoing Health

Charlie is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered. There are no known special health needs at this time.

Training & Support

Charlie is working through some fear and anxiety related to leashes due to a past traumatic experience. With a little patience and consistent positive reinforcement, he will learn to trust and overcome this. He is house-trained.
