Gio

Meet Gio, a 4-year-old, 78-pound black lab mix who is a master of bear hugs! This sweet and cuddly boy loves to shower his favorite people with affection, often wrapping his front paws around them in a big hug and then crawling into their lap. Gio soaks up every bit of attention and is eager to become your best friend. He enjoys walks, splashing in the water, and is a great travel companion, but he's also happy to relax with his humans.

Ideal Home

Gio would do best in a home with female dogs or as the only dog. He hasn't been cat-tested, but may be able to live with a feline friend with proper introductions. Homes with children 10 years and older are recommended.

Ongoing Health

Gio is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Gio is crate-trained and working on his enthusiasm with new friends and food guarding. He can sometimes chew when bored, so plenty of toys and activities are recommended. Adoptive families will receive training sessions to ensure Gio's continued success.

Transporation

Gio is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.
