Hi! I'm Beau, a cute 6-year-old, 10-pound Pomeranian looking for my next great adventure of a forever home. I get along with my furry foster friends but will appropriately correct other dogs if they make me uncomfortable. I could do well as an only dog getting everyone’s full attention or with other small furry friends. I am completely housetrained and will even give you a little sign if you forget. I am leash trained, but I tend to pull or get a little excited on the leash causing me to cough so a fenced yard is required. Plus I have been known to go on solo adventures, so security is best! I love car rides, and meeting new friends. I'm okay with grooming until you get to my nails. I might need a muzzle there. I'm also okay with at the vet with a little help (sedative medication). I attach quickly to my humans and look forward to doing the same with my furever family. I just need to feel secure and have boundaries set with a crate in order to thrive. I am alternately a cuddler and independent type, so the best of both worlds. Are you my future family? Am I your future companion?
Ideal Home
A home with a securely fenced yard is a must, as I tend to pull on the leash and can get a bit coughy when excited. I also have a history of solo adventures, so ensuring I can't escape is important for my safety!
Ongoing Health
My adoption donation includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heartworm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, and dental. I may need a muzzle during nail trims and might require a sedative for vet visits.
Training & Support
I am housetrained and leash-trained, though I can get excited on walks. A crate will help me feel secure and establish boundaries, which is key for me to thrive.
