Rusty

Rusty is a spunky 4-5 year old neutered male Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd mix who still has plenty of pep in his step! He weighs about 50lbs and is a sturdy, short guy. Rusty loves to play, especially a good game of keep-away or chase! He's up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's also a car-riding pro with no anxiety.

Ideal Home

Rusty would do best in an active home with a fenced yard, as he is not off-leash trained and would not be suited for apartment living. He can live with a couple, a single person, or a family with children over 10 years old, as his excitement might be a bit much for younger ones. He is dog-friendly with medium to large breeds, male or female, and could be an only dog or have a canine sibling. His compatibility with cats is unknown.

Rusty is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Rusty is potty trained and crate trained, with no accidents reported in his foster home. He knows basic commands and is motivated by food and treats. While he may have had accidents in a shelter environment, his foster home has found him to be perfect.
