Thelma is a lovely lady, estimated to be between four and six years old, though only she truly knows! She resembles a little teddy bear and, despite her petite stature, she is not a small dog! Thelma and her companion, Louise, were found roaming for weeks before being safely rescued. We believe Thelma is Louise's mother, and they are a bonded pair hoping to find a forever home together. Thelma enjoys her walks and is good with other dogs. Her compatibility with cats is currently unproven.
Ideal Home
Thelma and Louise need a home where they can be cherished. They require a securely fenced yard accessible from the house, as invisible fencing is not suitable for this independent breed. They are not to be trusted off-leash, as Great Pyrenees are bred to roam and may wander if not properly secured. Applicants must be over 25, own their home, and all children in the household must be over 6 years old.
Ongoing Health
We have no specific health concerns to report for Thelma at this time.
Training & Support
Obedience training is recommended for all newly adopted Great Pyrenees to foster a strong bond and ensure a well-behaved companion. Great Pyrenees are intelligent and willing learners but are known for their independent thinking rather than eager compliance.
