Gertie is a gorgeous, approximately year-and-a-half-old Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter. She's a smart, attentive girl who's eager to experience all that life has to offer and is looking for an adventurous outdoor companion. Given her intelligence, energy, and desire to be busy and challenged, Gertie would love a job to do! She might be perfect for scent work, search and rescue, or another canine employment opportunity. Gertie is a fun-loving, party-type gal who's always ready to play and make a game out of almost anything. She's ready to sign up for obedience classes to reach her full potential. Ideal Home

Gertie may not be a big fan of cats and seems to want to be your only canine companion.

Ongoing Health

All dogs adopted through Wags are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, kennel cough, and DH(L)PP. They have also had a complete fecal analysis, been treated for internal and external parasites, are heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and are microchipped.

Training & Support

Gertie is ready to sign up for doggie obedience classes to reach her full potential.

Transportation

Gertie is located at the Schuyler County Humane Society. You can visit without an appointment on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Sundays from 2 PM to 5 PM. You can also call 607-594-2255 to schedule an appointment.
