Lucrecia is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with a heart full of love to give! She weighs approximately 33 lbs and stands about 22 inches tall. Lucrecia was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico, and was initially very distrustful. Thankfully, with patience and care, her foster family was able to gain her trust. She also had an injured front paw that has since been treated and healed. Lucrecia is an intelligent, playful, and very active dog who loves to play with her foster siblings. She's now safe and secure, no longer needing to worry about finding food or shelter.
Ideal Home
Lucrecia would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy outdoor activities. Families experienced with the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and who have a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals would be a great fit. She needs a home with high tolerance and patience for rescued dogs, and adopters with experience in dog behavior and training are highly encouraged.
Ongoing Health
Lucrecia is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly preventive treatment for fleas, ticks, and heartworms (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Lucrecia is not house-trained. Her foster family has been focused on her health and emotional rehabilitation, and while they provide a safe and entertaining environment, house-training each rescued pet is a significant undertaking. Adopters should be prepared to continue her training with patience and consistency.

Transporation
Lucrecia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States, delivering to the adopter's home address. A transport fee of $400.00 is the responsibility of the adopter and must be paid prior to the pet's departure.
