Jewel

Jewel is a roughly 7-year-old, 49 lb bundle of joy with a heart full of love and a special way of moving! She might have a little wobble in her step due to partial paralysis in her hind legs, but don't let that fool you – she's full of happiness and zooms around with surprising speed. Jewel's front paws tippy-tap with excitement when she sees her favorite humans, and she's ready to be your best friend forever, especially if ear scratches are involved! She was found as a stray in Houston, TX, with road rash on her skin, but it's now fully healed, and she's getting stronger every day.

Ideal Home

Jewel is looking for a loving home where she can continue to build her confidence. She used to be a bit nervous around other dogs but has made great progress and even made friends with a Corgi and other dogs during outings.

Ongoing Health

Jewel has partial paralysis in her hind legs. Her skin has fully healed from previous road rash.

Training & Support

Jewel is described as a "spazzy, happy girl" who has a lot of love to give. She has been working on her confidence around other dogs with her foster family.
