Hi, I'm Joy! My brother George and I wandered into a small-town park one day looking for what we love most---people! We happily greeted parents, children, and anyone willing to stop and give us a little attention. After spending some time at the local pound, we were lucky enough to find our way into foster care, where we've been thriving ever since. When my foster mom took me to the vet for the first time, I couldn't contain my happiness. I was all wiggles, smiles, and tail wags, so everyone agreed that "Joy" was the perfect name for me. My brother spent the whole visit watching everything with interest and curiosity, which is how he became "Curious George."
Joy is exactly what her name suggests, a happy, loving, affectionate girl who enjoys being part of whatever her people are doing. She is house-trained, crate-trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and minds very well. She's doing okay on leash and enjoys tagging along on adventures both big and small. Joy gets along beautifully with her foster's dogs, doesn't bother the cat, and has shown nothing but kindness toward everyone she meets. We already know she loves children and people because that's exactly what drew her to the park in the first place. She thrives on attention, affection, and companionship. Joy often places her head on her foster's lap for approval that she is a good girl.
As for George and Joy, they absolutely adore each other. Being brother and sister, they share a special bond and enjoy spending time together. If you're looking for two wonderful companions, they would make an amazing pair (reduced adoption fee for both!). However, they are also confident, social dogs who can adjust well to separate homes.
Joy would love a family that enjoys life's simple pleasures such as camping trips, hiking trails, walks around the neighborhood, visits to coffee shops, outdoor cafes, or just curling up on the couch for snuggles after a fun day. She is social, friendly, and always ready for the next adventure. With her beautiful, shiny black and white coat and sweet, happy-go-lucky personality, Joy is ready to bring happiness, laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love to a lucky family.
