Winnie

Meet Winnie, a spirited one-year-old Staffie/Border Collie mix who weighs 33 pounds. Winnie is a joy to be around, always ready with a wagging tail for fun, affection, or a burst of energy! We're pretty sure about her breeds because a sibling was DNA tested, though the percentages might be different for Winnie. She was previously adopted from us as a puppy but was returned because she showed too much interest in the family cat.

Ideal Home

Winnie would thrive in a cat-free home. Due to her strong prey drive, careful and experienced management with small animals is a must, and she may not be the best fit for homes with them. She's an energetic dog who loves to play, especially with other dogs, and needs an environment where her enthusiasm can be channeled positively.

Winnie is currently healthy.

Training & Support

Winnie is still working on her manners, as she can be a bit mouthy when excited. She will benefit from continued basic training and consistent guidance. The great news is she's already potty trained and was accustomed to a crate at night in her previous home, showing she can adapt well to routine.

• Your adoption fee includes: a new companion, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations + deworming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets 3-4 months and older), and a microchip with nationwide registration.
• You can apply online by filling out our adoption questionnaire.

Transporation

Winnie is available at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. We offer same-day adoptions for spayed/neutered pets. You can visit us in person, call, or apply online.
